Nervous System
System interactions:
The nervous system interacts with the Endocrine system, because the Endocrine system has to work closely with the brain and central nervous system to make specific hormones and enzymes. The Nervous system also works with the Muscular system by sending empulses through the muscles to control voluntary and involuntary movement needed for survivel. Another system the Nervous system works with is the Respiratory system, and this interaction is when the brain sends empulses to the nerve tissue in the lungs, which controls the involuntary action of breathing and how much air your body needs to take in.
System Diseases:
One disease of the nervous system is Parkinson Diease, which is the slowing of voluntary movements, bradykinesia, muscular ridity and tremor at rest. Another diease is Alzheimer Diease, which is when the cerebral cortex and some other forebrain regions start to shrink. Also the Wilson Disease (Hepatolenticular Degeneration), is when a mutation prevents the body from eliminating excess copper.
Homeostasis:
The nervous system helps the body maintain homeostasis by sending empulses throughout the body to the other body systems, and gives them the information needed to tell the different systems what they need to do help the body remain in a constant state internally and externally throughout the body.
