Excretory System
System interactions:
A interaction of the excretory system with another body system is with the Circulatory system, because the circulatory system passes through one of the kidneys and has liquid waste removed from the blood. Another interaction is with the endocrine system, because the endocrine system monitor's fluid production in the kidney's and releases hormones to either produce more urine or produce less to keep everything stable. Also the excretory system interacts with the digestive system by getting ride of any undigested food.
System Diseases:
Gout is a disorder in which the body builds up excess amounts of uric acid as the kidneys are unable to process it properly.
Kidney failure occurs through the body's loss of kidney functions. When the kidneys fail, there is no filtering of the blood, which leads to a buildup of waste in the body.
Urinary tract infections are caused by bacteria in the urethra and bladder.
Homeostasis:
The excretory helps the body remain homeostsis by removing fluid waste from the body to keep a safe internal environment and cleaning the blood of fluid waste so the the body has the right amount of nutrients/hormones being transported throughout the body.
